OHIO
CONTRACTOR STAYS AFTER CLASS

With
rapidly growing enrollment, Lexington Christian Academy
in Lexington KY needed to convert their basement into usable
space. They were entertaining alternatives to the vinyl
tile which had been used on the floors above. Washing and
waxing of all this tile keeps a crew busy all night, and
represents a big expense.
Based
upon its low cost, design capabilities, and ease of maintenance,
the school chose MasterQuartz DES, recommended by Ohio Desco,
the successful bidder. The school Facility Engineer, Hargett
Construction, and the Fairborn, OH contractor worked together
to develop the design and layout for the new surface, which
incorporated logos and striping.
The
project started while school was out for the summer, but
construction delays caused the installation to run over
into the start of the school year. The dedicated crew had
to work nights to get the project completed.
The
LCA Staff is delighted with their new floor and the addition
of usable space they now can enjoy. The lower level now
features a lunch room, weight room, band room, multi0purpose
room, and common areas. The moral of the story? Even folks
involved in teaching others can still learn some new things
themselves.
