Located in the heart of Manhattan between 5^th and 6^th Avenues, Nobu is a stylish and hip Japanese restaurant. Owned by Robert De Niro, its cuisine satisfies the pallets of many A-list celebrities who frequent this far-east dining establishment. Infusing its smart modern décor with old world Asian pacific flavor, Nobu’s atmosphere and ambiance is simply brilliant, from floor to ceiling.

Rockwell Architecture was given the challenge of designing this restaurant. In the past, Rockwell and Allen Sedaka of Durite (our world-class terrazzo installer) have teamed up to create award-winning results using Polymerica’s epoxy terrazzo. With input from Shawmut Design and Construction, this project allowed them to once again push the envelope of what can be accomplished when new world technology meets old world craftsmanship.

Actually, the design team went way outside the box by using a combination of bamboo and jade fashioned into distinctive circular patterns and mixed with a terrazzo matrix to create something never before accomplished with this medium.
